Finding out which deals are closing due to where their original source was.
As we are trying to help you find the tools to quantify who and how you are winning and focus your time effectively we have created a few tools that should help you to identify how you are winning and from where.
Inside of Hubspot, we have created two new properties:
- Deal Source
- What source that the current deal originated from. Example: Industry Influencers, Current Clients, National Clients, Etc.
- Deal Source Detail
- A little bit of backstory on how it came to be in case further research is needed later.
These fields are available on your deals and inside of the deal creation wizard now whenever you want to add a deal into hubspot. This is not required but it will help you to do your job better by knowing your best referral sources and leveraging them well.
Going forward you can go to the Client Relations Individual Dashboard and Find out who you are winning with the most via the Closed won by Deal Source Report towards the bottom.
If you need to go back and update multiple deals so that yours begin to sort into the report automagically please do the following:
- Step 1 - Go to the Deal View created for Deal Source editing at this link: https://app.hubspot.com/contacts/5627913/objects/0-3/views/7279085/list
- Step 2 - Filter for your deals or metro so you can work your specific deals.
