How do I Set Up My Apartment Life Zoom Account?

As part of our Virtual Event strategy, we are making Zoom available to Coordinators to promote virtual connecting. The basic Zoom account allows meetings between two locations with no time limit. Meetings with more than 2 locations connected are cut off after 40 minutes.

Setting Up a Basic Zoom Account

  1. Navigate to zoom.us and click the "Sign Up" Button.

  2. You will receive a "Please activate your Zoom account" email.
    Click the "Join the Account" button
  3. Enter the Activation Information
  4. In the Don't Zoom Alone screen, click "Skip this step"
  5. You will see your personal meeting link on the next screen and can either go to the account or start a new meeting on this final screen.

Requesting a Premium Zoom License

The Basic Zoom License will disconnect calls with more than two participants at 40 minutes. If you are Apartment Life Staff and regularly host meetings longer than 40 minutes with multiple participants please complete the Premium Zoom License request.

For Apartment Life Staff:  After your request is confirmed with your Regional Leader (or Department Head) we'll email you when the License has been updated.

For Coordinators:  We have a limited pool of Premium licenses available for use as needed by Coordinators. Generally, you will have access to the license for the specific event you sign up for. In certain circumstances, your Program Director may approve a longer term assignment based on your needs. We'll work with you!
